Summerside
A great oyster from PEI’s southern side, distributed exclusively by Boston’s Pangea Shellfish. As briny as a Malpeque, but bigger, deeper-cupped, and more satisfying. The aptly named town of Summerside is on PEI’s summery south side and is the second-largest city on the island—though, PEI being PEI, it still has only 15,000 people. Summerside’s leafy streets and stately homes look out on Bedeque Bay, prime oyster habitat.
